A visionary, advanced single-seater EV concept with an ultra-compact form factor, developed for China’s Micro BEV (A00) segment.
The Sling is positioned between inner-city micro-mobility solutions such as e-bikes and e-scooters, and multimodal rail networks, it redefines urban transportation by delivering efficient low-speed urban performance significantly enhancing comfort and safety over two-wheeled alternatives.
The Sling pod is built at its core around a Cell-to-Body (CTB) energy architecture, compatible with BYD’s Flash Charging 2.0 network, expected to reach 20,000 stations by late 2026.
The “SLING” pod introduces a compelling “fun-to-drive” dimension. Designed to transform the daily commute into an engaging experience, it delivers motorcycle-like sensations in acceleration and agility, complemented by a unique Direct-Drive, dual-side driver input system that reimagines conventional steering controls.
Aerodynamically optimized, the “SLING” also supports seamless access to high-speed ring roads and commuter highways, extending both the range and versatility of multimodal transport integration.
Despite Sling’s ultra-compact form, its interior space is thoughtfully optimized with a practical, exclusive “multiband” attachment system that enhances functionality and organization.
